Artist's Muddles (1933)

Andy Clyde, Vernon Dent
Harry Edwards
Andy hitches a ride with an artist who, because of his disappointment with his work, sets off on a suicide mission of which he almost succeeds. The problem with his work? His portrait of the beautiful wife of Pietro Cellini is fantastic, except for one issue - one of her ears has been painted much larger than the other. With the help of Andy and a monkey, a “masterpiece” is made and Cellini is very pleased with the work and the discovery of Andy. Cellini buys the art with the request that Andy hang the painting in Cellini’s home. Trouble ensues. (BW)
