Bela Lugosi headlines this creepy thriller about an influential man who becomes a bloodthirsty maniac after his wife deserts him. It was the first of nine films made by Lugosi for Sam Katzman of Monogram Pictures, but it’s director Joseph H. Lewis (Gun Crazy, The Big Combo) who elevates this low budget potboiler into something memorable.
